Luciano at Litemind has an excellent discussion of the Will Do list.
Here's the problem:
GTD teaches you to keep a master To Do List, grouped by context (@home, @errands, @work, @internet, etc). The problem is, as soon as you get a list larger than ~50 items, your system goes from easy to manage to a burden.
Enter the Today (or Will-Do) List:
Take your to-do list and pick a few tasks that you will do the next day: not tasks that you want to do, or tasks that you think you might do — but tasks that you wholeheartedly commit to do. Replace your long list of intentions with a short list of commitments.[link] [via lifehacker.com]
